Report on Licensing
I) DISTRIBUTION OF LICENSED BANKRUPTCY ADMINISTRATORS BY COMMERCIAL COURTS
As of 01/07/2010, there are 383 licensed bankruptcy administrators in Serbia.
According to territorial jurisdiction of commercial courts in the Republic of Serbia, distribution of licensed administrators is as follows:

• Commercial Court in Valjevo - 19
• Commercial Court in Zajecar - 10
• Commercial Court in Zrenjanin - 12
• Commercial Court in Kragujevac - 24
• Commercial Court in Kraljevo - 10
• Commercial Court in Leskovac - 8
• Commercial Court in of Nis - 20
• Commercial Court in Novi Sad - 40
• Commercial Court in Pancevo - 10

• Commercial Court in Sombor - 10
• Commercial Court in Sremska Mitrovica - 12

II) LICENCE ISSUANCE
Issuance, renewal and revocation of licences for bankruptcy administrators is one of the important functions entrusted to the Bankruptcy Supervision Agency (hereinafter: the Agency) under the Law on Bankruptcy Supervision Agency (”Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia” Nos 84/04 and 104/09).
First licences were awarded on 21.09.2005.
• In 2005, 185 licences were issued
• In 2006, 153 licences were issued
• In 2007, 42 licences were issued
• In 2008, 52 licences were issued
• In 2009, 46 licences were issued
• By 01/07/2010, 12 licences were issued
III) LICENCE RENEWAL
The licence is renewed at the request of a bankruptcy administrator provided that the bankruptcy administrator performed his duties conscientiously and in compliance with the law, national standards for administering the bankruptcy estate and the code of ethics, as required by Article 24 of the Law on Bankruptcy.
In 2008 - 135 licences were renewed (49 bankruptcy administrators were stricken off the Register)
In 2009 - 109 licences were renewed (45 bankruptcy administrators were stricken off the Register)
In 2010 - by 01/07/2010, 9 licences were renewed (10 bankruptcy administrators were stricken off the Register)
